What’s In My Handbag?

Jumping on the bandwagon, here.

First of all, it’s not really a handbag in the way that ladies carry that thing over their shoulder. It’s a backpack, because if I have to clutch it under my armpit in order to run or climb then it can stay at home.

  • Payslip
  • Glasses case (glasses are one my face)
  • Large carabiner
  • A very sticky emergency power block, with compass and carabiner
  • A couple of equally sticky receipts
  • Package insert for a chew necklace
  • Sandwich bag clip
  • Crumbs
  • Wallet
    • Business cards from interesting places
    • ID
    • Money-type cards
    • Loyalty cards
    • More receipts than you can shake a stick at
    • A SIM card for a provider I’ve never used
    • 3 second class stamps
  • Beanie hat
  • Energy drink
  • Pepsi
  • Half bag of popcorn
  • Half bag of carrot sticks
  • A hard pencil case containing
    • Two pens
    • A pencil
    • Hand sanitiser
    • Drinks bottle carabiner
    • Wooden fondle
    • USB memory stick
    • Pencil sharpener
    • Manicure kit
    • Charging cable for phone
    • Stress ball
    • Repeat prescription form
    • LGBTQ stickers
    • Coloured sticky dots

Of course, it’d be incomplete without an assessment of the contents of my coat and jeans pockets.

  • Phone
  • Stylus
  • Lip balm
  • Headphones
  • Fingerless gloves
  • Scarf
  • Keys (on a carabiner)

Things missing that are normally in my bag/pockets:

  • Ear defenders
  • Sunglasses
  • Self-defence whistle
  • 1 day of each medication
  • Painkillers
  • Flushable wipes
  • Tissues
  • Chewing gum
  • Sanitary wear + safer sex products
