A is for Acceptance

I don’t think I could have put it better myself. Any autism charity that has such horrible things to say about the people it claims to serve has no place in our society. We are not a disease, we are not lost, or broken, or a parent’s worst nightmare. We are human beings who struggle with some aspects of life. Unlike many other disabilities, it’s intimately linked to who we are as people, and comparing us to cancer, diabetes, calling us an “epidemic” is just not on.
